Drame à Yeumbeul : une femme meurt, probablement électrocutée, en voulant brancher sa télévision
On Friday, October 23, 2026, around 7 p.m., the Yeumbeul district police station was alerted by telephone to the discovery of lifeless bodies in a home in the Darou Salam 4 neighborhood.
According to information gathered from the roommates, they were initially alerted by the cries and screams of children. Upon investigating, they found the victim unresponsive. They also noticed visible blood on his left shoulder and an electrical cord between his hands.
They then cut off the power to the entire house, and then called for help.
Police officers went to the scene. They confirmed that the body was that of F. TOURE, aged 28. She was lying on the floor in her bedroom.
Investigators noted burns on her left breast, likely caused by electrocution. This hypothesis is consistent with the electrical cord found in the young woman's hands: she was probably trying to plug it into the television at the time of the incident.
A medical requisition was issued. The lifeless body was then taken to the hospital by firefighters.
Prosecutor Saliou Dicko has been informed of the facts and an investigation has been opened to determine precisely the circumstances of the death.
