Drame familial à Guinaw Rails Sud : un homme tue son frère
The Guinaw Rails Sud district police station arrested, on October 23, 2026, a man suspected of fatally stabbing his younger brother in the Mbaye Diaw district.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., police were alerted to the discovery of a body. Investigators immediately went to the scene, where they found the victim lying in front of a toilet, a towel wrapped around her body. She had a gaping wound over her heart.
According to initial findings of the investigation, the suspected perpetrator is the victim's older brother, with whom she lived. The tragedy reportedly occurred after the younger brother unknowingly opened the door to the bathroom occupied by the suspect. A physical altercation ensued. Shortly afterward, the accused allegedly returned and stabbed his brother.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene. A request was sent to the hospital to determine the exact cause of death. The knife, presented as the murder weapon, was seized.
The suspect has been taken into custody for murder. The investigation is ongoing.
