Du renseignement à l'arrestation : Comment un réseau de cocaïne a été identifié à Keur Massar
In accordance with the plan to combat drug trafficking, the Keur Massar research brigade arrested and detained a Senegalese national on September 28, 2026, at approximately noon. He is being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, possession, and international trafficking of a substance suspected to be cocaine.
It all started with intelligence indicating the existence of a drug trafficking network operating in the Keur Massar area. The BR (Brigade de Recherches - Research Brigade) then set up a surveillance and tracking operation to identify the various members of the network and determine their respective roles.
On September 26, 2026, a Guinean national allegedly transported 129.4 grams of cocaine and a 94.5-gram hashish tablet to the village of Somone on behalf of the network . The suspect reportedly collected the drugs and took some of them. The remaining cocaine and the hashish tablet were then allegedly given to a Nigerian national residing in Somone, who was tasked with preparing the drugs.
The police arrested the suspect. A search of his room yielded 60 grams of white powder believed to be cocaine, 20 grams of rocks also believed to be cocaine, and an unidentified quantity of white powder. Investigators also discovered several plastic bags, 20,000 CFA francs believed to be proceeds from drug sales, and various other items.
The investigation is still ongoing.
