Effondrement d’un immeuble à Saint-Louis : Mamoudou Ibra Kane interpelle l’État
The leader of the "Tomorrow is Now" movement reacted following the collapse of a building that claimed the lives of four people in Saint Louis.
In a message posted on his social media platforms this Tuesday, Mamoudou Ibra Kane expressed his profound emotion, calling on the authorities to visit the site. "I learned with dismay of the deaths of four people in the collapse of a building in Saint-Louis. I respectfully bow before the memory of the deceased and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured," he wrote.
Mamoudou Ibra Kane offered his condolences to the "bereaved families" and to the entire "population of Saint-Louis in this sad circumstance".
For the journalist, this accident must not go unpunished: "This latest tragedy must not be trivialized. If it hasn't already been done, it requires the first field visit from the Prime Minister, failing that, from the President of the Republic himself," he declared.
For him, beyond the tragedy, civil protection and the securing of buildings, public places and construction sites constitute major challenges which engage the responsibility of the State and all the actors concerned.
