Effondrement d’un immeuble à Thiès : une opération de sauvetage particulièrement difficile
The rescue operation continues in the Sud Stade district of Thiès, following the total collapse of a building under construction . Firefighters have been working at the scene for several minutes to try to find and rescue victims trapped under the rubble.
The operations are proving particularly delicate. With the building having completely collapsed onto the ground floor, access to any potential survivors remains difficult for rescue teams. Piles of rubble considerably hinder their progress.
To try and clear a path and reach the buried people, rescue teams used three bulldozers and two excavators. The goal is to create a breach to facilitate access to the rubble and continue the search.
At this stage, the extent of the damage from the collapse is not yet known. Rescue operations are continuing.
