Escroquerie en ligne : Le faux vendeur de « DMS Import » et « Ndindy Décor » jugé ce vendredi
Issa Diakhaté, a 22-year-old shopkeeper residing in Golf, was remanded in custody on November 2nd by the public prosecutor at the Pikine-Guédiawaye court. He is being prosecuted for fraud and digital identity theft. He will be tried this Friday before the court for flagrant offenses.
According to reports, the Special Cyber Division (DSC) shut down his online sales activities, which involved using several TikTok accounts to lure victims. The report states that Issa Diakhaté had set up a fraudulent business using fake pages called "DMS Import et Déco" and "Ndindy Décor," specializing in the sale of mannequins, furniture, and interior decoration items.
His scam came to light following several complaints filed by customers who said they had been defrauded after placing orders. According to the DSC, the victims were asked to transfer money via Wave to a number provided by the scammer. But after receiving the deposits, the seller became unreachable and the promised goods were never delivered.
Among the complainants is Juliette Yangua. On April 16, 2026, after discovering a Facebook post offering bags for sale, she contacted the seller via WhatsApp. He told her he was in Mbour and asked her to confirm her order with a Wave payment. She transferred 140,000 FCFA. After several unsuccessful attempts to get updates on her order, she finally filed a police report.
Another victim, Ami Diédhiou, recounts discovering the TikTok account "Ndindy Décoration" in July 2026. Interested in a mannequin offered for 35,000 FCFA, she made the payment via Wave. Again, the seller cut off all contact. She claims to have joined a group of 25 people who say they suffered the same fate, for a collective loss estimated at 2.5 million FCFA.
The testimonies of Marième Diaw, Dieynaba Dieng, and Ndeye Astou Ngom also incriminate the accused. Some had paid deposits of 50,000, 80,000, or 190,000 FCFA for orders of mannequins and decorative items.
In their statements, they describe the same process: "attractive promotional offers, promises of delivery from Touba and, in the end, a seller who became impossible to find," they report.
The investigation led police to Issa Diakhaté. Interrogated on the night of October 29-30, the young shopkeeper admitted to being behind the incriminating TikTok accounts. Even more damning, he openly admitted to creating them "to deceive and scam people."
He stated that he began his illegal activities in June 2026. Issa was unable to determine the number of victims or the total amount of money collected. However, he maintained that he acted alone, without accomplices. He also stated that he was willing to reimburse some of the victims, claiming to have 1.5 million FCFA at the time of his hearing. He further admitted to having already returned 95,000 FCFA to one of his victims.
