A private meeting between six suspected homosexuals turned tragic in Thiaroye-sur-Mer. One of the participants, 23-year-old MN Ndoye, died in a room during the night of October 14-15, 2026. According to exclusive information obtained by Seneweb, his death was linked to an overdose. Those present reportedly tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate him before leaving, leaving him locked inside. The Keur Massar Research Brigade (BR) arrested three suspected homosexuals, who admitted to being present. The other two suspects are believed to be on the run, somewhere between Mauritania and The Gambia.

The Keur Massar Criminal Investigation Brigade (BR) was informed of the discovery of a body in a room in the Bagdad neighborhood of Thiaroye-sur-Mer. On the instructions of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor, Saliou Dicko, the gendarmes have opened an investigation.

According to initial reports, the victim spent the night of October 14-15 in this room with Y. Diène, alias "Cheikh," and other individuals. They reportedly left the premises abruptly around 2:00 a.m., leaving the victim locked inside.

The police also gathered information indicating drug use in the room and a possible overdose. Our source claims it was a gay meeting.

Investigators arrived at the scene at 8:19 p.m. The room is located on the ground floor of a four-story building (ground floor plus three floors), which contains several apartments and rooms for rent. The door was locked, so they forced it open and discovered a man lying motionless on a mattress. They immediately secured the area pending the arrival of the National Criminal Identification Unit (CNIC).

The room contained a refrigerator, food, empty bottles of alcoholic beverages, a bottle filled with a reddish liquid placed near a sofa, a small indoor shower, and scattered clothing. Documents found in a backpack allowed investigators to identify the victim as 23-year-old MN Ndoye. The body was lying on its back, face turned toward the window, eyes and mouth closed. External visual examination revealed post-mortem lividity, abdominal distension, and a reddish discharge from the nostrils. No apparent injuries were observed.

Investigators requested assistance from the hygiene department, the fire department, and the National Criminal Investigation Department (CNIC). The hygiene department disinfected the room. The CNIC then conducted its technical operations from 10:40 p.m. to 12:50 a.m., taking samples from the victim's body and several objects that could contribute to establishing the truth.

At 12:51 a.m., firefighters removed the body and took it to the morgue at Pikine Hospital. At 1:00 a.m., investigators, accompanied by his apprentice A. Ndao, went to Y. Diène's tailoring workshop to conduct a search. In a chest of drawers, they discovered several thong-style underwear, condoms, lubricants, pills, boxes of medication, and other items.

According to investigators, these medications are often used by people living with HIV/AIDS. They were seized and stored at the BR (Brigade de Recherches - Research Brigade) for the purposes of the investigation.

At 8 a.m., the victim's father, E. Ndoye, was summoned to the BR (Brigade de Recherches - Research Brigade). A request for a qualified person to perform an autopsy was also sent to the forensic pathologist at Grand-Yoff Hospital. The investigation revealed that Y. Diène is a tailor with a shop in a shopping center in Diamaguène. He is believed to have been HIV-positive for several years and to be receiving medical care. He is also suspected of luring young boys with money and arranging sexual encounters in the room he rents in Thiaroye-sur-Mer.

The arrests of Sunday, October 18

Analysis of phone data revealed that six numbers, including the victim's, had been detected in the area of the crime on the night of the incident. Cross-referencing this data with other elements of the investigation led to the identification of A. Niang, SJ Seck, and A. Diop. Three teams from the Keur Massar Criminal Investigation Brigade conducted searches, surveillance, and arrests in the Sicap Mbao, Sam Sam 3, and Damel neighborhoods.

The first arrest of A. Niang occurred around 12:30 PM in Sam Sam 3, without incident. Aged 25, he is a motorcycle taxi driver and resides in Diamaguène Sicap Mbao. A search of his room uncovered thirteen condoms concealed in a green plastic bag.

When questioned about the circumstances of the death, he stated that Y. Diène had called him to his room in Thiaroye-sur-Mer, where he allegedly found Y. Diène, the victim, SJ Seck, EH Sène, and an individual whose identity he did not know. He claims to have drunk a beverage containing a narcotic substance, which Y. Diène had given him, and adds that Diène and another individual were engaging in sexual acts in the presence of the other people present.

According to him, the victim drank the same beverage before experiencing breathing difficulties. Those present reportedly tried to resuscitate him, without success, and then, panicking, left the premises, abandoning the body in the room.

A. Niang also claims that Y. Diène destroyed certain evidence and took the victim's phone to cover his tracks. He specifies that Diène asked him to get rid of his own phone and SIM card, and then to delete his contacts as well as those of SJ Seck. He admits to having had sexual relations with SJ Seck five times in the latter's apartment, in Y. Diène's presence, and to having had one other sexual encounter with Y. Diène. He maintains that he used condoms and describes himself as an active partner. He emphasizes that he was unaware that Y. Diène was HIV-positive, as Diène had only confided in him that he was diabetic, a fact that his lover, SJ Seck, allegedly confirmed.

When asked why he had not alerted the police or the gendarmerie, he explained that he had panicked and followed the instructions of Y. Diène.

The second team arrested A. Diop at 1 p.m. in the Sicap Mbao neighborhood. Aged 24, he is a plasterer and resides in Thiaroye. He initially denied knowing Y. Diène. Confronted with the evidence, he recanted his statements and admitted that Diène was one of his clients, whom he had driven to his room on the day of the incident. He said he found six or seven individuals smoking there, without being able to identify them. He stated that he sat on the sofa with them for about thirty minutes before leaving. He confirmed that he picked up Y. Diène on October 16th, around 1 a.m., and dropped him off in Diamaguène. He was then taken to the BR (Brigade de Recherches - Research Brigade) headquarters.

The third team went to SJ Seck's home in the Damel housing complex. They found the door locked. Further searches proved fruitless, but phone records led investigators to his number in Bargny. There, they discovered he had entrusted his phone to his brother, B. Seck, 28. B. Seck was not arrested, as he was not implicated in the case. He stated that his brother had given him the phone before leaving for Gambia. He explained that they co-owned the apartment in the Damel complex and shared a room, but that he went to Bargny every weekend, leaving his brother to occupy the apartment.

Having a key, he accompanied investigators on a search which led to the discovery of lubricants and disposable tissues in a chest of drawers belonging to SJ Seck.

On the same day, at 10 p.m., a requisition for a qualified person was sent to the head physician of the Keur Massar hospital. He was asked to examine A. Niang and A. Diop to identify any injuries or physical traces relevant to the investigation, to conduct tests related to their serological status, and to issue a medical certificate to each of them. The two men are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, unnatural acts, endangering the lives of others, drug trafficking, failure to assist a person in danger, and manslaughter, according to Seneweb sources.

The third suspect was arrested on Tuesday, October 20th.

The Keur Massar Criminal Investigation Brigade (BR) arrested CD Ndiaye at 11:00 AM. The 23-year-old, a native of Bamako, is a student residing in the Wakhinane Nimzatt neighborhood of Guédiawaye. He faces the same charges as the first two suspects. Surveillance and tailing operations led to his location. A search of his room uncovered a tablet, which will be handed over to the National Cybercrime Center for data analysis.

When questioned about the events, he admitted to being present in Y. Diène's room while the victim was suffering from a medical episode before dying. He explained that he left the premises on the instructions of Y. Diène, who had allegedly asked those present to erase the data on their phones and dispose of their SIM cards. He was then taken to the BR (Brigade de Recherches - Research Brigade) headquarters.

On Tuesday around 4 p.m., investigators went to the scene of the tragedy in Thiaroye-sur-Mer, accompanied by A. Niang, A. Diop and CD Ndiaye, for a reconstruction of the events.

The Fugitives

Y. Diène and SJ Seck are actively being sought. According to information gathered, one of them had an intimate relationship with SJ Seck, who is believed to have fled to Mauritania, while Y. Diène is believed to be a refugee in The Gambia. Our source emphasizes that these two fugitives, older than the others, drugged the young men to improve their performance. They were passive suspects. The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the death and to apprehend all those involved. The suspects apprehended will likely be brought before Prosecutor Dicko next Thursday or Friday.
