Exercice illégal de la médecine et trafic de drogue : un Guinéen arrêté par la BR de Saraya
The Saraya investigation unit arrested AO Diallo, suspected of selling prohibited medications and drugs. He was brought before the Public Prosecutor at the Kédougou High Court on October 8, 2026.
At the end of September 2026, a resident of Gamba, speaking on condition of anonymity, reported a Guinean national, AO Diallo, to the Saraya Criminal Investigation Unit. According to him, the man was openly selling prohibited medications and drugs, obtaining his supplies in Mali, and targeting teenagers. On October 6, 2026, a neighbor also reported the suspect's illegal medical and pharmaceutical practices, describing him as a notorious kush trafficker.
The commander of the Saraya Criminal Investigation Brigade then mobilized the Observation and Surveillance Group (GOS), specializing in surveillance, to track the suspect's movements. After several days of surveillance, the gendarmes arrested him in his room in Gamba. AO Diallo consented to the search of his room.
Investigators discovered four grams of kush, a blister pack of ten tramadol tablets and 32,000 CFA francs, according to Seneweb sources close to the court.
According to the investigation, this sum came from the sale of medication and kush. The investigation confirms that the suspect sold a blister pack of tramadol for 10,000 CFA francs, or 1,000 CFA francs per tablet, and a bag of kush for 2,000 CFA francs.
When confronted with the drugs, AO Diallo admitted they belonged to him, but maintained they were for his personal use only. He indicated Mali as the residence of his supplier, without providing further details, which reinforces investigators' suspicion of international trafficking. They also noted inconsistencies in his statements.
Placed in police custody, the suspect is being prosecuted for impersonating a public official, endangering the lives of others, illegally practicing medicine and pharmacy, selling illicit medications, and possession and international drug trafficking. The seized goods have been placed under seal. The gendarmes brought AO Diallo before the prosecutor at the Kédougou court on October 8.
