Festival des pastéfiens : Laye Ananas la voix souverainiste de Sonko
The Senegalese political scene is also in turmoil beyond national borders. Within the diaspora, support is being organized, positions are multiplying, and strategic stances are emerging, reflecting a desire to influence the debates currently taking place in Senegal.
It is in this context that the Senegalese artist Laye Ananas , known for his support of Ousmane Sonko , is organizing a conference on September 8th in Olav Tryggvasons, Norway. "The World Bank-IMF: between sanctions, aid and exploitation?" a press release informs us.
The meeting will bring together, among others, Steven Crozier, financier, Kristen Nordhaud, economist and university professor, as well as Joakim Enrique Carli .
Organised as part of the Trondheim World Festival, this conference aims to open the debate on the role of international financial institutions and their relations with States, particularly African ones.
Through this initiative, Laye Ananas also intends to contribute to the debate on the sovereignist vision put forward by Ousmane Sonko and Pastef.
The reflection on the World Bank and the IMF is thus part of a critical approach to the financing mechanisms and the conditions imposed on States, at the heart of the issues of economic sovereignty defended by the leader of Pastef.
Beyond Senegal's borders, this mobilization therefore testifies to the way in which the country's political divisions and projects continue to be expressed within the diaspora, where everyone is now trying to make their voice heard and support their vision of Senegal's future.
The artist Laye Ananas is expected this September at several Norwegian and European universities as part of an artistic tour led by the European Union's Cultural Commission.
An accomplished artist with exceptional choreographic talent, Laye Ananas is among the greatest ambassadors of Senegalese culture abroad.
