« Fissure hyménéale récente » : un maître coranique arrêté pour viol
The case has shaken the Arafat neighborhood in Grand-Yoff, where D. Gaye, 36, a Quranic teacher, was brought before the prosecutor by the local police station. According to Libération, which reported the story, he is being prosecuted for pedophilia, abduction of a minor under 13, and rape.
Quoted by the newspaper, the alleged victim, TLD, aged 9 and a student at the Koranic school, recounted that the teacher allegedly led her to a room located near the classroom, where he allegedly inserted a finger into her private parts, before ordering her, under threat of reprisals, to reveal nothing.
The alarm was raised after the girl's mother, Y. Guèye, noticed that her daughter was having difficulty walking and confided in her. The father, D. Diop, then filed a complaint.
Two other residents interviewed as part of the investigation confirmed seeing the girl in the room with the accused. While the latter admitted to being present but denied the allegations, the minor's medical examination revealed a "recent hymenal tear," a detail added to the case file, the same source added.
