Formation professionnelle : Idrissa Samb inaugure les centres de Diourbel 2 et Linguère 2 et affiche ses ambitions pour 2050

On November 5th, the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Idrissa Samb, inaugurated the Diourbel 2 and Linguère 2 centers, located in Ouarkhokh. These facilities represent the first milestones in a vast program to build 23 centers across the country. Funded to the tune of 83 billion CFA francs through a partnership with the Mitrelli Group, this network of excellence will train 30,000 young people annually.

In front of educational and territorial stakeholders, the minister reiterated the trajectory set by the executive: "Our ambition is clear: to train 700,000 qualified technicians by 2029 and 5 million professionals by 2050."

Human capital , the heart of the Senegal 2050 Vision

For the government official, this massive investment in youth directly addresses the State's new economic priorities. "This initiative is a pillar of the Senegal 2050 Vision, championed by His Excellency the President of the Republic," emphasized Idrissa Samb, before adding that it "embodies our unwavering commitment to building a sovereign, competitive, and wealth-creating economy, by placing human capital at the heart of development." He also specified that this industrial and economic transformation "must be directly rooted in the fabric of our territories."

Thanks to these new facilities, students in the Diourbel and Louga regions and surrounding areas will benefit from state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive curricula ranging from the CAP (Vocational Proficiency Certificate) to the BTS (Advanced Vocational Diploma). The specializations have been carefully selected to align with local economic realities. Idrissa Samb assured that these training programs, "focused on mastering practical skills," will be delivered "in close collaboration with businesses, SMEs, and local artisans, guaranteeing our young people rapid, decent, and sustainable professional integration."

Il faut faire de la coopération avec des pays comme le Canada et l'australie qui manquent cruellement de techniciens. Vu le chomage important chez nous, je ne suis pas sur que tous ces futurs jeunes puissent etre employés. Bravo pour l'initiative.
