Golgaindé : Le fils du chef de village, âgé de 14 ans, meurt noyé dans un bassin
A heartbreaking tragedy occurred this Thursday in Golgaindé, a village located in the Niayes region. Amadou Ba, only 14 years old and the son of the village chief, lost his life by drowning in a pool of water.
According to reports, the young boy had gone to tend the animals during the day. The tragedy occurred around 4 p.m. For reasons that remain unclear, the teenager ended up in the pond, where he drowned.
The news of his disappearance plunged Golgaindé into deep consternation. This tragedy serves as yet another reminder of the risks associated with ponds and water sources, particularly at this time of year when children and teenagers are more frequently seen in grazing areas.
