Guédiawaye : médecin qui a pris une balle, il a été opéré, mais...
Good news for Serigne Fallou Seck, the 27-year-old internist shot at his home in Fith-Mith, Guédiawaye, during the violence related to the Navétanes football tournament: he underwent successful surgery and his life is no longer in danger. "The operation was crucial to stabilizing him," confirmed Dr. Gory Gning, president of the Association of Interns and Former Interns of Hospitals of Senegal (AIAIHS), quoted by L'Observateur.
The only drawback: "The bullet still hasn't been removed from his abdomen," explains Dr. Gning. This situation keeps the medical teams on high alert and is delaying the ballistic analysis by the Technical and Scientific Police, which was tasked by the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office to determine the exact origin of the shot.
The young doctor was reportedly hit as he was about to close his kitchen window to take shelter, having been intrigued by the commotion in the street. The newspaper, part of the Future Media Group, specifies that he was then urgently evacuated by his colleagues.

Les navetanes doivent être supprimées.
Trop de violence. Beaucoup de morts.
...
