Held annually, the Humeubeul is a special time for the sons and daughters of the kingdom to reunite, as well as for communities from different parts of Casamance and beyond. It aims to strengthen bonds of solidarity, promote the values of peace and unity, and perpetuate ancestral traditions.
Over the years, it has established itself as a space for promoting Diola culture through songs, traditional dances, customary events and inter-community exchanges.
