Inhumation sans autorisation à Ngor : le corps d’un nouveau-né retrouvé dans l’eau, deux arrestations
Two brothers, O. Mbengue and I. Mbengue, were brought before the prosecutor on Tuesday after being questioned by the Ngor gendarmerie for burying a newborn baby without authorization from the civil registry services.
Libération reports that O. Mbengue, questioned by investigators, explained that he discovered the "body of a baby floating in the water" while swimming. He claims to have alerted his brother, who then advised him to bury the body on the spot. The two men later learned that prior authorization from the civil registry was required.
An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances of this discovery and to shed full light on the matter, the same source reports.
