Jaxaay: He denies the rape, but admits to having spent the day with the minor.

A. Diallo, also known as "Laye Sy," a 19-year-old mason residing in Darou Thioub, will be brought before Prosecutor Cheikh Diakhoumpa, head of the Rufisque prosecutor's office, this Thursday for the rape of a 14-year-old minor. The Jaxaay district police station, under the command of Commissioner Cheikh Ndiaye, received a complaint filed by Ms. K. Barro against A. Diallo for the rape of her 14-year-old daughter, R. Sané.

According to the complainant's statements, it all began on August 29th, around noon, when she noticed her daughter was missing from the family home. This absence occurred after the mother had scolded the teenager that same morning for eating her younger sister's breakfast.

The discovery of the victim hidden in a room

Worried, K. Barro began searching for her daughter. She was informed that she was at the home of a man named Laye Sy. Accompanied by her sister and her sister's husband, she went to the address provided, where, around 9 p.m., they were first greeted by the accused man's mother. A few minutes later, Laye Sy left his room, behaving in a manner deemed suspicious by the visitors. Upon entering the room, the complainant's sister and her husband discovered the victim, hidden under a table and covered with a sheet.

Back home, R. Sané was questioned by her mother. She admitted to having had sexual relations with Laye Sy three times that same day. When questioned by investigators, R. Sané confirmed having had sexual relations with the suspect on August 29, 2026, in his bedroom.

Medical findings

Gynecological examinations performed on the victim revealed old-looking hymenal lesions as well as a recent lesion at the level of the posterior vulvar fourchette, of about 1.5 cm according to Seneweb sources.

But A. Diallo denied any sexual relations with R. Sané. He did, however, acknowledge that the girl had spent the entire day of August 29th in his company, in his room.

At the end of the investigation, A. Diallo will be presented this Thursday before the public prosecutor at the Rufisque High Court, who will decide on the legal proceedings to be taken in this case.
