On June 7, the Jaxaay police station arrested and detained a "Jakarta" driver, D. Ndiaye, for public indecency and attempted rape of a person with a mental disability.

Alerted by telephone, Libération reports, police intervened near the Senelec offices in Jaxaay, in an abandoned house. Two witnesses, intrigued by the suspect's behavior, followed him before catching him in the act, lying on top of the victim whom he had undressed after tearing her underwear.

The two individuals managed to subdue the assailant before handing him over to the police. Briefly questioned, the suspect, who was intoxicated, attempted to deny the charges but failed to convince investigators, the same source added.
