Kaffrine : La BRS interpelle un individu avec 41 kg de chanvre indien

The Kaffrine Research and Surveillance Brigade (BRS) arrested an individual this weekend suspected of involvement in cannabis trafficking. The operation took place in a forested area between Nganda and Kaymor.

The case began following a tip-off about an individual in possession of a large shipment of drugs. Acting on this information, investigators set up a surveillance operation, including stakeouts and tailing.

The investigation led to the identification of the suspect, described as a drug courier and identified by the initials S. Sow. Discreetly followed by members of the BRS (Brigade de Recherche et de Sécurité), he led investigators to the location where he had hidden his package. It was at this point that the officers arrested him. A search of the package revealed 41 kg of cannabis.

At the conclusion of the investigation, S. Sow was referred to the Kaffrine prosecutor's office for alleged drug trafficking.
