Kaolack : il emprunte un téléphone et se retrouve poursuivi jusqu’à Ndangane
The Kaolack police station recorded the arrest of B.Niass, a tailor, for being caught red-handed in the alleged theft of a mobile phone.
The events took place on September 30, 2026. According to the victim, A.Ba, the accused asked him for his Samsung brand mobile phone to make a call.
But instead of returning the device, B. Niass allegedly took advantage of a moment of inattention from the woman to flee on his Jakarta motorcycle.
The scene immediately triggered a chase. A. Diallo, who was with the victim, gave chase to the suspect. He finally managed to intercept him in the Ndangane neighborhood before taking him and the victim to the Kaolack police station.
After a brief questioning at the station, the suspect reportedly admitted to the charges against him. His Jakarta motorcycle was impounded for the purposes of the investigation.
Following his interrogation, B. Niass was taken into custody for being caught in the act of theft. The Public Prosecutor's Office has been notified and the investigation is ongoing.
