A 21-year-old man was arrested in Kaolack after being caught in the courtyard of a house while, according to the victim's statements, attempting to steal a "Jakarta" motorcycle.

The suspect, identified as Fallou Sakho, born in 2005 in Casamance and residing in the Ngane neighborhood, allegedly broke into Mr. Ngom's home.

According to the owner's testimony, he caught the young man in his yard, a screwdriver in hand, trying to steal his motorcycle parked in the house.

Mr. Ngom reportedly managed to apprehend him before alerting the authorities. Officers from the Kaolack Central Police Station's Criminal Investigation Unit went to the scene and took the suspect into custody.

Placed in police custody, F. Sakho reportedly confessed to the crime during questioning. The screwdriver found in his possession at the time of his arrest was confiscated for the purposes of the investigation.
