Kébémer : 415 jeunes gendarmes auxiliaires présentés au drapeau
Contingent 2026/2 completes its initial combat training at CIGA. Four hundred and fifteen young Senegalese soldiers were presented with the flag last Friday at the Auxiliary Gendarmerie Training Center (CIGA) in Kébémer, marking the completion of their initial combat training (FIC).
The ceremony, which took place at 9 a.m., was presided over by Colonel Mody Ka, commander of the Saint-Louis gendarmerie legion, in the presence of local administrative, civil, customary and military authorities.
The information was communicated to Seneweb by Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, head of the Communication and Public Relations Division of the National Gendarmerie.
This presentation to the flag marks the end of the initial training cycle for the 415 recruits of the 2026/2 contingent, who now officially embrace the profession of arms in service to the nation.
A parade of troops in front of the attending authorities brought the ceremony to a close, followed by a cocktail reception offered in honor of the guests.
