Linguère : Deux jeunes périssent dans des accidents après deux finales de Navétanes
The Linguère Departmental Organization for the Coordination of Holiday Activities (ODCAV) is in mourning following the tragic death of two young supporters after the departmental final played in Dahra and the zonal final played in Déaly.
The first accident occurred this Friday after the departmental final in Dahra, won in the cadet category by ASC Deggo of Boulal. Supporters of the winning team had boarded a transport vehicle commonly known as a "Wopouya" which was taking them back to Boulal.
At the entrance to the town of Boulal, the driver braked suddenly. Young Ameth Fall was thrown from the vehicle and fell in front of it. This fall proved fatal: he succumbed to his injuries during his evacuation to the Dahra health center.
The second tragedy occurred on Saturday around 8 p.m. on the Déaly-Touba road, near the village of Kaad Balodji, following the Déaly zonal final won by ASC Penc.
One of the winning team's supporters, 20-year-old Abdou Karim Loum, was returning to Touba on his motorcycle. Hindered by the darkness, he collided violently with a cart traveling in the same direction. Immediately after falling onto the road, he was struck by another vehicle. He died instantly. His body was taken to the morgue at the Dahra health center.
