Loi de finances rectificative : le SDTA attend du Gouvernement le respect de sa promesse sur les indemnités de logement
On the eve of the tabling of the 2026 amending finance bill in the National Assembly, the Democratic Union of Administration Workers is bringing back to the table the issue of housing allowances owed to state employees.
In a press release published on September 14, the trade union organization recalls the commitment made by the Prime Minister during his General Policy Statement regarding the payment of six months of back housing allowances to the agents concerned.
According to the SDTA, the Government had announced that the necessary funds for this expenditure would be included in the 2026 Finance Law, with payment expected during the second half of the year. The union now wants this deadline to be met.
For the SDTA, the issue is all the more important given that state employees, like a large proportion of workers, are facing a rising cost of living and a decline in purchasing power. The six months of compensation in question thus constitute, according to the union, "a right and a legitimate expectation" for the beneficiaries.
The union therefore calls on the Government to allocate the corresponding funds in the 2026 Supplementary Budget Law and to guarantee payment of the back pay within the announced timeframe. It also demands that the commitments made to workers be respected and that social dialogue regarding the concerns of civil servants be further strengthened.
While reaffirming its willingness to engage in dialogue and consultation, the SDTA assures that it remains committed to defending the material and moral interests of workers.
