Lutte contre l'immigration irrégulière : Idrissa Samb promet un soutien ferme au mouvement And Xeex Djel Galgui
The fight against illegal immigration is taking a more concrete turn at the Ministry of Employment. The Minister of Employment, Vocational Training and Labor, Idrissa Samb, received a large delegation from the And Xeex Djel Galgui movement late Tuesday afternoon, who came to review its field initiatives aimed at retaining young people in the country.
The delegation was led by the movement's coordinator, Fara Diop, accompanied by the general secretary Khalil Ba, the vice-coordinator Mame Diarra Faye, and Ndèye Sarr, the person in charge of training issues.

Fieldwork praised at the highest level
In the presence of members of his cabinet, the minister held extensive discussions with these community leaders. Idrissa Samb commended the direct commitment of these young people who travel throughout the country to propose concrete solutions to the problem of people leaving by sea.
“In the presence of members of my cabinet, we spoke with this group of particularly dynamic and committed young people, who are doing remarkable work on the ground in the fight against irregular immigration,” said Minister Idrissa Samb.
Thanks to this constant mobilization, the movement has managed to establish itself in 12 regions of Senegal. It now brings together more than 1,000 young members across the country and directly impacts thousands of others through its grassroots actions.
Training and concrete alternatives in the face of the sea
On the ground, And Xeex Djel Galgui 's approach is structured around strategic axes ranging from awareness-raising to socio-professional integration. The movement works particularly in training for promising professions such as fruit and vegetable processing or market gardening, offering avenues for financial independence to steer potential candidates away from the canoes.

“Awareness-raising, guidance, vocational training and support towards employment: the movement is taking concrete action to offer our youth credible and decent alternatives to steer them away from the perils of the sea,” stressed Idrissa Samb.
In light of these convincing results, the Minister of Employment has pledged to actively support the deployment of the movement across the entire national territory.

“In my capacity as Minister of Employment, Vocational Training and Labour, I have instructed my services to provide firm and structured support to this dynamic, both in terms of professional qualification and job creation, and in terms of awareness campaigns,” the minister concluded.
