Maram KAIRE joins the global advisory council on the future of space, set up by Seraphim Space, the world's largest investment fund for the space sector.

Composed of 7 members, I will represent the voice of all of Africa in the council.

Seraphim creates a global advisory council on the future of space

Seraphim Space announced on April 15th the creation of the Global Advisory Council on the Future of the Space Sector, a global space council created to address the key strategic, commercial and geopolitical opportunities and challenges facing the space sector.

Bringing together leading space industry experts from across the global space ecosystem, the Advisory Council includes former astronauts, space entrepreneurs, high-level investors and policymakers with experience in commercial space, national programs, defense, climate science and global communications.

Chaired by satellite industry pioneer Candace Johnson, the Advisory Council brings together high-level executives whose careers span the founding decades of the commercial space sector to the current emerging landscape of space technologies.

Initial members:

Anousheh Ansari – CEO, XPRIZE; first female private space explorer.

Ann Winblad – Co-founder and Managing Director, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners.

Candace Johnson – Co-founder of SES and pioneer of global satellite communications.

Marco Fuchs – CEO, OHB SE, a leading European satellite manufacturer.

Masayasu Ishida – Co-founder and CEO of SPACETIDE; Program Director of the Japan Space Strategy Fund.

Pascale Ehrenfreund – President, COSPAR; Research Professor, Institute for Space Policy, George Washington University.

Rob Desborough – General Partner, Seraphim Space, and co-founder of the Seraphim Space accelerator.
