The Urban Security Unit of the Mbour Central Police Station brought two individuals, S. Top and F. Fall, before Public Prosecutor Augustin Yakhar Faye, head of the local prosecutor's office, on charges of possession, offering, and distribution of cannabis. They were arrested during two separate operations.

The first person implicated: S. Top, arrested at his home

S. Top, aged 50, claims to be a fisherman. He was arrested in the Bay Dëkk district, following the exploitation of information indicating the existence of an Indian hemp trafficking operation at his home.

Upon arrival, police officers conducted a thorough search of the premises. In one of the rooms, they discovered a lined blanket containing twenty-two (22) packets of marijuana. They also found another quantity of the loose drug, as well as a pair of scissors.

When questioned briefly about the origin and destination of the prohibited product, S. Top unconvincingly denied being its owner. After his interrogation was recorded in the official report, he was taken into custody before being brought before the public prosecutor at the Mbour High Court, along with F. Fall.

The second person implicated: F. Fall, arrested near the Auchan store

F. Fall, aged 19, also claims to be a fisherman. He was arrested following a report of a group of "Jakarta" motorcycle drivers selling Indian hemp, a short distance from the Auchan store.

Upon the arrival of officers from the Mbour Central Police Station's Urban Security Unit, several individuals fled the scene. F. Fall was found sitting on a Jakarta motorcycle. As soon as he noticed the police, he immediately threw a bag into the Auchan store parking lot.

Continuing their search in the area where the bag had been discarded, investigators eventually found it. It contained twelve (12) packets of Indian hemp.

When questioned about the product's origin, the suspect attempted to proclaim his innocence. He was eventually taken to the prosecutor's office.
