Opération nocturne à Yenne : la gendarmerie démantèle un réseau d’émigration irrégulière et interpelle 18 personnes
During the night of October 17-18, 2026, at approximately 2:00 AM, officers from the Yenne territorial brigade conducted an operation that resulted in the arrest of eighteen people in the village of Nditakh. Among those apprehended were sixteen individuals attempting to emigrate irregularly, as well as two people being prosecuted for migrant smuggling and complicity.
The intervention of the gendarmes followed the exploitation of intelligence indicating the presence of a large group of individuals gathered suspiciously in a concession in the village.
In response to this alert, the police immediately went to the indicated location. There, they found all the suspects gathered in a single room at the home of a man named IN.
All of Senegalese nationality and exclusively male, the sixteen candidates were apprehended on the spot and taken under escort to the premises of the territorially competent brigade, where they were questioned as part of the investigation.
However, the ringleader, identified by the initials OT, was not present and remains actively sought by security services. Following the investigations and inquiries conducted by the brigade, two individuals will be brought before the prosecutor of the Judicial and Financial Pool in Dakar.
