Oussouye : Macabre découverte sur la plage de Boucotte-Diémbéring
In Oussouye, the morning of Tuesday, September 1, 2026, was marked by a grim discovery on Boucotte-Diémbéring beach, about 5 km northwest of Cap Skirring. Around 11 a.m., a male body was found, according to a security source.
Alerted, the firefighters, accompanied by a mixed team composed of elements from the Directorate of Fisheries Protection and Surveillance, members of the Local Artisanal Fishing Council and the Cap Skirring gendarmerie brigade, went to the scene.
The advanced state of decomposition of the body made it impossible to identify the victim. On the instructions of the public prosecutor at the Oussouye district court, the body was buried on site.
Such discoveries are frequently reported in the area at this time of year, when weather conditions make navigation in the Atlantic Ocean particularly dangerous. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of death.
