Plage de Koudam (Kaolack) : 3 présumés homosexuels surpris en plein ébats dans l’eau
Nighttime alert and discreet surveillance on the coastline! The case began on August 30, 2026. Firefighter Corporal DD, on duty at Koudam beach, reported to the police the recurring nighttime presence of about ten individuals behaving suspiciously. These individuals would take over the area as soon as the public had left. To investigate the nature of these activities, the firefighters' surveillance team set up a discreet observation post, in close coordination with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kaolack Central Police Station.
On the night of August 30-31, 2026, Corporal DD swam to the group to observe the scene without raising the alarm. He immediately caught several men engaging in sexual acts in the water. Realizing they had been spotted, the suspects immediately tried to flee. The swift intervention of law enforcement allowed them to apprehend two of them in the water, while the third was subdued on the riverbank.
Interrogations, telephone evidence, and confessions
The three individuals were immediately taken under escort to the Kaolack Central Police Station to be placed in custody. The identities of those involved were established:
C. DIAGNE, a 22-year-old tailor, residing in Ndorong;
A. NDIAYE, a 22-year-old street vendor, residing in Léona;
P. DIOP, 19-year-old painter, residing in the Occass district.
During initial questioning, the suspects vehemently denied the allegations. However, analysis of A. Ndiaye's mobile phone revealed exchanges of intimate messages and sexually explicit content shared between the accused. Confronted with this evidence, they eventually confessed to meeting at Koudam beach after 7 p.m. to engage in sexual acts.
On August 31, 2026 at 9 p.m., the facts were provisionally reclassified under the charge of unnatural acts, pending the required medical examinations at the CHREIN of Kaolack.
Serious medical report and expanded legal proceedings
The results of medical examinations conducted by a doctor at the Kaolack Regional Hospital Center (CHREIN) have brought a major turning point to the case. Proctological and biological tests revealed that C. Diagne and A. Ndiaye tested positive for HIV-1, while P. Diop's test came back negative, according to exclusive information obtained by Seneweb.
When questioned again about these revelations and his personal situation, A. Ndiaye, married for two years, reiterated his detailed confessions, supported by the analysis of his phone. C. Diagne also maintained his confessions regarding relationships with several casual partners, but continued to refuse to reveal their identities. As for P. Diop, he chose to maintain his denials.
In light of these medical findings and the accumulated evidence, the suspects' custody was extended and the charges escalated. In addition to the charge of sodomy, A. Ndiaye and C. Diagne now face charges of intentionally transmitting HIV-1 and endangering the lives of others. The three suspects remain in custody pending their imminent appearance before Prosecutor Abass Yaya Wane, head of the Kaolack prosecutor's office.
