Quand le fourrage de son cheval sert de cachette à la drogue : Un agropasteur arrêté à Kaffrine par la BR de Kaolack
The Kaolack research brigade seized drugs in the enclosure of a farmer in Ndioundia, after an initial unsuccessful search of his home. It was a tip that led the gendarmes to the investigation.

On Friday, October 2, 2026, they learned that a farmer named Mr. Ba, living in the village of Ndioundia in the Kaffrine department, was involved in trafficking cannabis. He was subsequently arrested at his home. The gendarmes first searched his residence at night, but found nothing that could help uncover the truth.
The investigators did not give up. They continued their investigation with Mr. Ba. They searched his enclosure located a few hundred meters from the property. It was there, around 11:45 p.m., that they discovered 3 kg of cannabis hidden under the fodder intended to feed his horse.
When questioned about the origin and destination of the drugs, Mr. Ba refused to admit ownership. He was then taken under heavy guard, along with the seized drugs, to the Kaolack Criminal Investigation Brigade (BR) where the investigation continued.
Upon the expiration of his custody, Mr. Ba was brought before Prosecutor Cheikh Faye, head of the prosecutor's office at the Kaffrine High Court.
