Remise en liberté d’Aïda Mbacké : le frère du défunt Khadim Ndiaye réagit
Eight years after the tragedy that shook all of Senegal, Aïssatou Mbacké, also known as Aïda Mbacké, has been released from prison and placed under house arrest with an electronic monitoring bracelet. According to our sources at Seneweb, the daughter of Serigne Babacar Mbacké Moukabaro, who killed her husband Khadim Ndiaye, has left the Rufisque Women's Detention and Correction Center (MAC). This release has generated considerable discussion.
Sentenced in the first instance on November 17, 2021 to 20 years of criminal imprisonment by the Criminal Chamber of Dakar after the facts of assassination were reclassified as murder, she had her sentence reduced to 10 years on appeal on March 28, 2023. She was placed under a detention order on December 7, 2018, just after giving birth by cesarean section to a baby boy.
As a reminder, the events date back to the night of November 3-4, 2018, in Hann Maristes. Following a violent marital dispute involving a supposed second wife, Aïda Mbacké doused the marital bedroom with flammable liquid and set it on fire. Severely burned, Khadim Ndiaye succumbed to his injuries a few days later.
Faced with this release which revives rumors, Abdoulaye Ndiaye, brother and friend of the deceased Khadim Ndiaye, wanted to break the silence to restore the truth about the memory of their brother.

To all those who have ever heard his story,
For some time now, Khadim's name has been mentioned again, often linked to the painful archives of a tragic event. Today, now that he can no longer speak for himself, I intend to break the silence. Not to reignite a controversy, but to redress a human injustice: that of seeing the memory of a good man reduced to rumors and unfounded suspicions of jealousy.
The truth about Khadim lies elsewhere, far from the courts and the headlines.
Khadim was a man of immense kindness, absolute discretion, and exemplary piety. Those who truly knew him remember a fervent Mouride disciple with a pure heart, whose smile and generosity touched all who met him. He was a loving son, a loyal friend, and a protective husband.
His integrity was so evident that even his own in-laws, from the very first moments of the tragedy, felt compelled to publicly attest to his noble character, condemning the act and mourning the loss of a pillar of strength. Doubt never had a place in his life, and it must never have one in his memory.
Behind the tragedy that has moved Senegal lies the memory of an upright life, cut short in its prime. Khadim was not the man of the stories attributed to him to justify the anger; he was a man of peace.
In the name of ethics, faith, and the respect due to the deceased, we humbly request that his memory be honored. Allow his loved ones to mourn their son and brother with dignity, and allow the Senegalese people to remember him for who he truly was: a man of peace, faith, and goodness.
May the Almighty continue to grant him His mercy and illuminate his eternal abode.

En dehors des politiciens véreux le vrai problème du Sénégal c'est l'humain. On doit travailler à rendre des gens comme toi à être capable d'utiliser leur cerveau.
