Saly, Ngaparou et La Somone : Les animaux errants mis en fourrière à partir du 31 octobre
The sub-prefect of the Sindia district, El Hadji Djiby Bocoum, announced a firm measure targeting stray animals in the municipalities of Ngaparou, Saly Portudal, and La Somone. Starting Saturday, October 31, 2026, any animal found wandering on public roads in these localities will be automatically impounded.
In an official statement sent to Seneweb, the administrative authority urges livestock owners to take all necessary steps to remove their animals from circulation and keep them in suitable enclosures or spaces.
The deadline is set for Friday, October 30, 2026 at 11:00 PM. After this time, removal and impoundment procedures will be systematically implemented.
Through this categorical decision, the administrative authorities intend to hold breeders and owners accountable in order to put a definitive end to the roaming of livestock in these three tourist municipalities of the Petite-Côte.
