A Senegalese national was apprehended at the Farading border checkpoint upon his return from Mali. Officers from the Moussala border post stationed in Farading discovered 62 packets of marijuana and 88 tramadol tablets in his possession.
CB's crossing of the Malian border was cut short. This 32-year-old Senegalese gold miner was arrested on October 28, 2026, at 7:16 p.m., at the Farading border control post, as he was traveling to Saraya from Badalla, Mali.
During the search, officers discovered 62 small packets of Indian hemp, each weighing 2 grams, as well as nine blister packs of tramadol. The batch of medication consisted of eight blister packs of ten tablets and another containing eight tablets, for a total of 88 tablets.
During a brief questioning, the suspect admitted to owning the prohibited substances. Investigators also seized several items and assets, including a TVS Apache motorcycle, described as his means of transportation, 45,000 FCFA in cash, and an iPhone 11 Pro mobile phone.
