Sédhiou : l'axe principal de la commune continue de faire souffrir les usagers
The advanced state of disrepair of the main road in the town of Sédhiou remains a major concern for the population. This road, used daily, serves seven primary, middle, and secondary schools: School 4; School 7; CEM 3; AMA School; Balla Moussa Daffe High School; the Science and Technology Building (BST); the CRFPE; and the Franco-Arab School.

In all seasons, it becomes difficult to use, exposing students, teachers and other users to significant risks.
During the road paving program for the municipality, local authorities indicated that this section would be included in the second phase of the Boudhié loop road project, linking Sédhiou, Bambaly, and Marsassoum. However, the fall of Macky Sall's government occurred before the project's completion. To date, the governments led by Ousmane Sonko and then Al Amine Lo have not yet prioritized the completion of this 82-kilometer stretch.

While awaiting state funding, the town hall could provide a temporary solution by renting an excavator to resurface the road. Such an intervention would improve safety for the many students, teachers, and residents who use this vital route daily.
