Stade de Mbacké sans toiture depuis plus d’un an : le maire Gallo Ba donne des assurances
The roof of the stands at Ibrahima Guèye Stadium, damaged over a year ago by strong winds and rain, has still not been repaired. When questioned about this concern among local sports enthusiasts, the mayor of Mbacké and director of Ageroute, Gallo Ba, assured them that the problem would soon be resolved.
He was speaking this Saturday, on the sidelines of the Mayor of Mbacké Cup final, between ASC Thiossane and ASC Teen Bi, of which he was the patron. He indicated that he had contacted the Minister of Infrastructure, Déthié Fall.
“The stadium roof is a concern. I have already spoken to the Minister of Infrastructure. I have raised the issue with him and I think that, in the coming months, a technical team will be sent to Mbacké to see how to rehabilitate the roof of this stadium,” he said.
The mayor also expressed his satisfaction: "This is a feeling of satisfaction and pride for the youth of Mbacké." He thanked ODCAV for the excellent organization of the final and congratulated the teams for their performances and commitment.
Gallo Ba also made several announcements to the press. He promised that Mbacké would have a youth center and indicated that the rehabilitation of the open-air theater was nearing completion.
He also announced, with the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the President of the Republic, the upcoming launch of a special program to modernize 100 to 150 km of road infrastructure in Touba and Mbacké. "The funding is available," he assured.
