Tambacounda : Un élève coranique de 12 ans meurt noyé dans un ravin à Saré Issa
The irreparable has once again occurred this Thursday afternoon in the Saré Issa neighborhood, located on the outskirts of the town of Tambacounda. A 12-year-old Koranic student named Insa Seck drowned while swimming with a group of fellow talibés of his age.
During this period of intense heatwave, young children in the area regularly flock to water points and temporary ponds to cool off and play during the hot afternoon hours.
For young Insa Seck, the tragedy occurred in a ravine bordering the marshy bed of the Mamacounda stream. The tragedy plunged the deceased's family and the local community into deep sorrow.
Alerted, members of the 61st fire and rescue company of the firefighters went to the scene to recover the lifeless body of the victim, following the usual findings made by the agents of the central police station of Tambacounda.
A judicial investigation was immediately opened by the police services to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
