TAMBACOUNDA : Un mauritanien et ses complices déférés pour fraude à l’état civil
The officers of the central police station in Tambacounda referred a Mauritanian man and his two accomplices to the Public Prosecutor's Office for civil status fraud.
The evidence from the investigation shows that on September 8th, an individual of foreign origin presented himself at the courthouse showing a Senegalese national identity card.
Taken to the police station, the accused gave his identity as Mactar Dicko, claiming to be a trader residing in the Pont district.
A thorough investigation by detectives revealed that the national identity card found in his possession resulted from a registration authorization judgment issued in 2025.
The accused claims to have been helped in his efforts by D. M., whom he allegedly met at the town hall.
He allegedly gave her photocopies of her parents' identity documents as well as a sum of money intended to cover processing fees and as a tip.
He specifies that his father is of Mauritanian origin and that his mother is Senegalese, while indicating that the latter resides in Mauritania.
Continuing their investigation, the detectives discovered in his room a civil status document established in 2025 under number 2933, following the transcription of judgment number 6304 of May 30, 2025, as well as an extract from the minutes of the registry established in his name.
The investigation revealed that the suspect's real name was Al Khoutab Sidy Mohamed Mback Dicko. He immediately admitted to being exclusively a foreign national residing in Senegal.
When questioned in turn, Mr. M stated that it was Mr. Hameth Dicko who had approached him to help him obtain a birth certificate for his son, who had not been registered with the civil registry.
He maintains that he attached a photocopy of his own identity document to the file as a witness in connection with the application.
Regarding the sum of money received, he specifies that the processing fees amounted to 1,500 FCFA. He adds that, in addition to this sum, Mactar Dicko allegedly gave him 5,000 FCFA after the judgment authorizing his registration was issued.
Hameth Dicko maintains that Mr. Mactar borrowed his national identity card to obtain a photocopy without providing any further details about its intended use. He also clarifies that he is not the suspect's biological father.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the persons concerned were brought before the Public Prosecutor at the High Court of Tambacounda for alleged acts of forgery and use of forged documents and complicity.
