Tambacounda : Une bagarre pour du carburant de moto Jakarta s'achève par un décès
In the Gourel Diadié neighborhood, a violent altercation over fuel for a Jakarta motorcycle between farmer Alassane Diallo, born in 2000, and Adama Sow has made headlines. Adama Sow died as a result of the altercation, and his alleged killer was arrested and taken into custody for manslaughter.
Nothing, however, foreshadowed such a tragic scenario between the two men. Adama Sow, a resident of the village of Saré Saloum in the commune of Netteboulou, regularly visited the Gourel Diadié neighborhood to see Alassane Diallo's family. On October 9th, he left his native village to pay another visit to his relatives.
It was during this stay that a heated argument broke out between the host and his guest. The dispute, which quickly escalated into a physical fight around noon, concerned a quantity of fuel intended for a Jakarta motorcycle.
A fatal collapse followed the fight
Having been informed of the case, the prosecutor at the High Court of Tambacounda immediately ordered the arrest of Alassane Diallo. He was placed in police custody at the central police station in Tambacounda on the prosecutor's instructions.
The autopsy and medical report prepared by the doctor at the Tambacounda Regional Hospital Center revealed that the victim died as a result of decompensated hypertrophic and ischemic cardiomyopathy, triggered during exertion and physical alteration.
Under intense questioning from investigators, Alassane Diallo finally broke down. He admitted to fighting with Adama Sow on October 9th around noon. According to his statement, the victim fell to the ground immediately after the fight and died during his emergency transport to the hospital. He confirmed to the police that the dispute over motorcycle fuel was the sole cause of the fight, which had fatal consequences.
Following his detention and the conclusion of the preliminary investigation, the suspected perpetrator of manslaughter will be brought before the prosecutor in Tambacounda. Adama Sow's body was transported and buried in his native village of Saré Saloum.
