Tambacounda : une jeune femme de 18 ans, enceinte de huit mois, meurt dans un puits avec son bébé
An 18-year-old woman, eight months pregnant, died after falling into a well in the village of Canapé, in the commune of Ndoga Babacar (Tambacounda). The incident occurred yesterday, Friday, around 7 p.m.
The victim, Famatou Diallo, had gone to fetch water, which remains a major concern in several areas of Tambacounda. According to available information, she lost her balance and was pulled down by the rope of a water-filled tub she was hauling. She died instantly at the bottom of the well, along with her baby.
After the findings of the Tambacounda territorial brigade, the body was extracted by the firefighters of the 61st fire and rescue company of Tambacounda, led by Captain Athie.
An investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
