Thiaroye : il filme sa petite amie à son insu et menace de publier leurs ébats sur les réseaux sociaux
A case of blackmail involving intimate videos led to the arrest of an individual by officers from the Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao district police station. The suspect is accused of having filmed sexual intercourse with his girlfriend without her consent, before threatening to release the images on social media.
According to the details of the case, it all started on October 29, 2026, at around 9:30 a.m., when a person came to the police station with the victim to report the suspect's actions.
On the advice of her companion, the young woman agreed to set a trap for her alleged partner. She arranged to meet him near the toll highway exit in Thiaroye. Once there, the man was apprehended by police and taken to the station.
During her hearing, the complainant explained that she had been in a romantic relationship with the accused since they met on the road to Mbour, where she was selling iced water.
According to her statements, her boyfriend had promised to give her a mobile phone to encourage her to go to his home in Thiaroye.
It was during this visit that he allegedly filmed their sexual encounters without her knowledge.
On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, when the young woman refused to accept another invitation to his home, the suspect allegedly resorted to threats. He reportedly threatened to publish the intimate videos on social media to pressure her.
The case ultimately led to his arrest. He is suspected of storing and threatening to disseminate personal data, as well as violating privacy.
