Thiès : Ivre, un ancien militaire vole des parfums et des dentifrices et accuse « seytane »
Former soldier Mr. Fall appeared this Monday in the bar of the Thiès court of first instance for stealing three bottles of perfume and three tubes of toothpaste.
The defendant did not contest the facts. He admitted to committing the theft, while attempting to explain it by his state of mind at the time of the incident. Mr. Fall stated that he was drunk, before also mentioning the influence of the devil ("seytane").
Considering the facts to be established, the public prosecutor requested the application of the law. The judge ultimately found Mr. Fall guilty and sentenced him to one month in prison and a fine of 20,000 CFA francs.
