Thiès : une fillette révèle des abus sexuels, le chambellan de son père arrêté
A case of alleged sexual abuse of a minor has shaken the Keur Issa neighborhood in Thiès. The Medina Fall police station arrested a man described as the chamberlain of a young girl's father, following a complaint filed by the victim's mother.
The case was brought to the attention of investigators on October 1, 2026. According to information provided by the Police, the minor's mother, separated from the child's father, had entrusted her daughter for a stay in Tivaouane.
It was during conversations with her mother that the girl reportedly revealed the events of which she claims to have been a victim at her father's home in Thiès. She specifically identified a man who lives in the same house and works as her father's chamberlain.
Interviewed in the presence of her mother, the minor reportedly gave a detailed account, corroborating the accusations against the accused. Investigators from the Medina Fall police station then proceeded to arrest him.
When questioned, the suspect reportedly confessed, admitting to the charges against him. According to the police, he also admitted that the alleged acts began in 2021 and continued for several years, without the knowledge of those around him.
The suspect has been taken into custody. An investigation is underway to shed light on this case and establish responsibility.
