Trafic de drogue à Ngor : La DIC met fin aux activités d'un « businessman » de la MDMA
A major blow has been dealt to drug trafficking networks in Dakar. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) recently dismantled a drug trafficking operation in Ngor. At the heart of this case is A. Mbengue, a self-proclaimed "businessman."
The police operation was triggered following operational intelligence reporting suspicious movements and illicit activity carried out by the suspect.
After cross-referencing information, detectives from the DIC (Criminal Investigation Division) set up a discreet surveillance operation and a prolonged stakeout near the suspect's home. The police intervention led to his being caught red-handed. During his arrest, investigators discovered a 4-gram ball of MDMA in one of his pockets.
The subsequent search of his home confirmed the police's suspicions. Eight additional packets containing the same psychotropic substance, ready for distribution, were seized.
Following his detention and the usual investigative procedures, A. Mbengue was brought before the prosecutor of the Dakar High Court for possession and trafficking of narcotics.
