Trafic de gasoil à Fatick : comment le carburant du chantier de l’autoroute alimente le marché noir
The manhunt is over for A. Badji, a 36-year-old unlicensed taxi driver. The suspected mastermind of a diesel trafficking operation, he was arrested after nearly two months on the run. According to Libération, which broke the story, he is suspected of supplying the black market for almost three years.
On August 11, he managed to escape during a police raid on his home in the Peulga neighborhood of Fatick. Investigators seized 15 twenty-liter jerrycans filled with diesel fuel and 74 empty jerrycans hidden in a pit dug behind the house. Arrested on Wednesday on the outskirts of Fatick, heading towards Diakhao, A. Badji confessed to the crimes. A sum of 350,000 CFA francs, presented as proceeds from his illegal activities, was also seized from him.
According to his statements reported by Libération, he obtained supplies from tanker truck drivers and other vehicle drivers working on the Fatick-Kaolack highway construction site. He claims, however, to be unaware of the identity and contact information of his suppliers. The investigation is ongoing.

Finalement ils finissent par se mordre la queue en mettant à genoux l'entreprise et se retrouver au chômage. Quelle idée!
