Trafic de haschisch à Liberté 6 : un étudiant arrêté par la police de Dieuppeul
The Dieuppeul district police station has apprehended a suspected hashish trafficker. MLD, a 29-year-old second-year student, was arrested in possession of the drug following a police operation, according to Seneweb sources.
It all started with information passed on by a well-connected source within the criminal underworld: a drug delivery was scheduled to take place in Liberté 6, not far from the Cité Baraque housing project. Immediately informed, investigators from the Research Brigade deployed to the area to conduct their investigation.
After a long wait, the police spotted an individual matching the description provided by the informant, riding a motorcycle in Jakarta. The man was arrested on the spot.
A 100-gram tablet was discovered during the search.
The search carried out on the suspect yielded its verdict: a slab of hashish, weighing a total of 100 grams, was found in his possession.
When questioned by investigators, MLD categorically denied owning the seized substance. He has since been placed in police custody at the Dieuppeul police station.
An investigation has been opened and the public prosecutor at the High Court of Dakar has been informed. MLD is to be brought before the court this Friday.
