Three arrests in Parcelles Assainies: the security guard was stealing what he was supposed to protect

A vehicle theft case has just been solved by investigators from the district police station of unit 15 of Parcelles Assainies, revealing the involvement of a security guard who was, ironically, in charge of monitoring a parking lot located near the scene of the crime.

It all began on September 2, 2026, when the police station of Unit 15 of Parcelles Assainies received a letter of complaint from Mr. P. GUEYE, a mechanic by trade, who reported the theft of his vehicle, a Mitsubishi DID, parked in a parking lot located opposite the beach of Unit 15. According to his statements, the vehicle, which had broken down, had been parked there for more than a year.

The investigators immediately launched an investigation, which quickly led to the arrest of three individuals: L. DIENE, 30 years old, a security guard residing in Cambérène; A. SECK, alias Djily, 41 years old, a truck driver residing in Cambérène; and A. FALL, 46 years old, a mechanic residing in unit 15 of Parcelles Assainies.

It is the investigation that highlights the central role of L. DIENE, a security guard in charge of the security of a parking lot located not far from where the victim's vehicle was parked.

Taking advantage of his privileged vantage point, he spotted the Mitsubishi that had been parked for months, and he also conceived and planned the theft, before teaming up with A. SECK and A. FALL to carry it out. The agent meant to protect the vehicles parked in the area thus became the mastermind behind their theft.

The plan was executed on the morning of September 1, 2026: to remove the disabled vehicle, the three men used a crane truck, which allowed them to load it and transport it away from the scene. Once they had the vehicle, they sold it to a scrap metal dealer in Cambérène, a man named M., for the sum of two hundred and seventy-five thousand (275,000) CFA francs, according to Seneweb sources.

To cover their tracks and justify the disappearance of the vehicle, the accused then tried to bribe an agent of the Cambérène town hall, in order to make it seem that the vehicle had been removed during a municipal clearing operation, but the agent categorically refused to lend his assistance to this maneuver, thus thwarting their attempt at concealment.
