Un chauffeur de taxi en état d’ébriété a provoqué un accident sur l’avenue Diogoye Basile Senghor à Kaolack, le 30 septembre dernier.
A drunk taxi driver caused an accident on Diogoye Basile Senghor Avenue in Kaolack on September 30th. Libération reports on this accident, which left two people injured after a collision between a taxi and a Jakarta motorcycle.
The driver of the two-wheeler, A. Diop, and his passenger, A. Fall, were rushed to the Regional Hospital Center by firefighters. According to police reports, the taxi driver lost control of his vehicle before hitting the motorcycle and fleeing the scene.
Chased by the crowd to the Parcelles Assainies district, the suspect was eventually apprehended with the help of law enforcement. During questioning, he admitted to the acts. He was remanded in custody and charged with driving under the influence, hit-and-run, and endangering the lives of others.
