Violente agression à la machette et au couteau à Cambérène : 4 présumés bandits arrêtés après le cerveau de la bande
A violent attack committed in 2024 in Cambérène has seen new legal developments. Acting on a referral from the investigating judge of the 3rd chamber of the Dakar High Court, the police station of Unit 15 in Parcelles-Assainies arrested the last suspected members of D. Diop's gang, who is currently incarcerated.
This operation, carried out by the research brigade between Cambérène and Keur Massar, has allowed the investigation into this bloody robbery to be closed.
The incident dates back to 2024 in the town of Cambérène. AS, the victim, was violently attacked with a machete and a knife by a group of criminals. He was then robbed of his belongings. The assailants made off with two cell phones, a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and an estimated 200,000 CFA francs.
Police investigations led to the location and arrest of suspected co-perpetrators and accomplices who had been living on the run. Four individuals were apprehended in their respective hideouts:
Under brief questioning, the four suspects all admitted to being part of the five-person gang that perpetrated the violent attack against AS
However, they passed the buck regarding the main perpetrator of the dissipation and disposal of the property stolen from the victim.
Following their police questioning, all four were notified that they were being held in police custody . The charges against them relate to armed robbery committed at night and the illegal possession of firearms.
Unless there is a change of plans, they will be presented this Friday before the investigating judge in charge of the case.
