Following the spiritual retirement of Serigne Cheikh Tidiane Sy Al-Makhtoum, his successor, Serigne Moustapha Sy, has taken up the mantle of the Gamou at the Tivaouane racecourse. Tonight, at the Tivaouane racecourse, thousands of Moustarchids committed to the cause of the movement will gather in platoons to fill 8 hectares of surface in a white tide, in order to listen to the one they call by three ranks: "the Moral Leader - the War Chief - the Big Boss".

True to form, Serigne Moustapha Sy began his speech with an address in Arabic, using his signature opening phrase, "Ya Rassoulilah," before captivating his audience for nearly three hours, as he so expertly does.
