Yoff : Samba Ndiogou Ba, un « soldat » de la communauté layène, s'est éteint en plein service religieux
The Layene community is plunged into grief following the passing of Samba Ndiogou Ba, a devoted figure in the movement. Once hailed as a true "soldier" by the late Khalif Elhadj Abdoulaye Thiaw Lahi, this committed individual collapsed during a spiritual gathering in Yoff Diamalaye, while fulfilling his duty to the community.
Testimonies tell us that he was active from the very beginning in the preparations for religious chants and the organization of dahiras; Samba Ndiogou Ba participated in the celebrations until his last moments.
Dressed in a large white boubou, he occupied his place as leader amidst the faithful gathered facing the ocean, to the rhythm of praise and the sound of the waves. It was during this moment of collective fervor that he was struck by a sudden illness. Despite the rapid intervention and professionalism of the rescue teams on site, his death was pronounced shortly afterward.
A life of commitment
A resident of Cambérène, near the mausoleum of Seydina Issa Rohou Lahi, the deceased dedicated most of his youth and life to spreading the teachings of Seydina Limamou Lahi. Known for his unwavering presence and sense of duty from a young age, he leaves behind the image of a tireless servant of the faith.
He was buried in Yoff Diamalaye in an atmosphere marked by prayer, dignity and resignation to divine will.
